Youth Art Month

Condor Elementary celebrates fine arts with multiple activities throughout the year.  Student artwork is being showcased in February, and student talent is recognized at our Students as Artists assembly.  Families were invited to this assembly as part of PTO's Dinner and a Show.  

Artsonia.com is an internet resource used to showcase various art projects in all grade levels.

TEACHER SUBMITTED ART

Students and teachers have a unique opportunity to be involved in the "Art Shapes The World" art show in celebration of Youth Art Month.  This is a local/county/state-wide art show.  Only work submitted and sponsored by teachers can be entered in this art show.  Viewing is open to the public.

Local Art Show

WHEN:  The show opens on Saturday, February 20, and runs through Saturday, March 13.  
          
WHERE:  Roadside Attraction Gallery in Twentynine Palms, CA.  Located at 69197 29 Palms Hwy.
Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 10:00 to 6:00, and Saturday 10:00-2:00.

PICK-UP:  Pick-up work Saturday March 13 at 2:00 at the Roadside Attraction Gallery.  Work not picked up will be returned to the school the following week.

           

COUNTY ART SHOW

Five student works in each grade category, (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8), are expected to be selected for the County show.  These works will temporarily be removed from the Roadside Attractions show for the county show.  Following the county show they will be returned to Roadside Attractions.

WHEN:  March 5-7, 2010.  Open from 10 AM - 5 PM.

WHERE:  Friendship Hall at The Mentalphysics Center.  Located at 59700 29 Palms Highway, Joshua Tree, CA.

RECEPTION / AWARDS

WHEN:  Sunday, March 7th from 3 PM - 5 PM.
